The blast follows several explosions and vehicle fires across the capital

A crude bomb has exploded at Kamalapur Railway Station, hours after a string of arson attacks and blasts reported across multiple locations in Dhaka.
The blast occurred around 10:30pm on Saturday, said Railway Dhaka District Police Superintendent Nikuling Chakma.
"A cocktail exploded on platform two of Kamalapur Railway Station. No casualties have been reported," he said.
A video of the incident showed two crude bombs exploding in quick succession beside a train standing at the platform.
The officer said efforts were under way to identify the culprits by reviewing CCTV footage.
"We are trying to find out who did this, we are working on it.”
According to him, security around the railway station has been heightened following the incident.
"We have stepped up patrolling and other activities. We remain vigilant to avoid such incidents and ensure passenger safety," the police superintendent said.
Earlier, multiple explosions took place opposite Jatrabari Police Station, while vehicles were set on fire in Mirpur and Badda, as well as outside South Keraniganj Police Station.
Between 7:15pm and 9:30pm, two buses were set on fire in Mirpur, a staff bus in Badda, and a pickup truck outside Keraniganj Police Station.
Police have not yet reported any arrests in connection with these incidents.
