A pickup truck has been set on fire outside South Keraniganj Police Station in Dhaka, following similar incidents in Mirpur and Badda.

The fire broke out around 9:30pm on Saturday, said the police station's duty officer Sub-Inspector Kazi Hafiz.

"The pickup was seized by the station and parked outside," he said.

"Someone set fire to a seized pickup, and we're looking into the matter,” South Keraniganj Police Inspector Azgar Ali said.

Fire Service Control Room duty officer Rashed Bin Khalid said two units were sent to the scene after receiving the report and brought the fire under control.

Earlier, two buses were set on fire in Mirpur around 7:15pm, followed by a staff bus in Badda around 8pm.
