The blast adds to a string of similar explosions near the town’s bus stand and court area last year

A crude bomb has gone off in Manikganj town, sparking panic among local residents.
The explosion occurred under an overbridge beside the bus stand around 9pm on Saturday, said Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Julus Khan.
No casualties were reported in the incident, though panic spread among people in the bus stand area at the time.
Police said officers were dispatched to the scene immediately after the incident and are investigating the matter.
Similar crude bomb explosions had occurred multiple times near the Manikganj bus stand and outside the residence of a judge at the district and sessions judges’ court in the city in November and December last year.
