The government has carried out a major reshuffle in the judicial administration, transferring 99 judges simultaneously across Bangladesh.

Among those reassigned are 44 district and sessions judges.

Several officials previously posted at the law ministry have also been returned to judicial duties.

The ministry issued six separate notifications ordering the transfers on Thursday night.

Rezaul Karim, public relation officer at the ministry, also confirmed the reshuffle.

Alongside 44 district judges, the affected judicial officers comprise 26 additional district judges and 25 joint district judges.
