Police hold one individual for questioning and probe the circumstances of his death

Police are questioning an individual over the killing of schoolboy Ishayat Shahriar Apratim in Cumilla, saying they have found some “clues” in the case.
District Superintendent of Police Md Anisuzzaman told reporters on Saturday afternoon that investigators were working on the clues.
He did not disclose the identity of the person being held for questioning.
Apratim, 13, left home with his mother’s iPhone to take pictures with friends but went missing.
His body was recovered around noon Saturday from the foot of a hill at South Mor in Salmanpur, near the Cumilla University campus.
A Class 7 student at Border Guard Public School, Apratim was the son of Nahida Begum, an associate professor in Cumilla University’s Bangla department.
He left his home in Kotbari, Ward No. 24 of Cumilla Sadar South, around 3:30pm on Friday and never returned.
After searching several possible locations without finding him, his father, KM Firoz Shahriar, filed a general diary with Cumilla Sadar South Police.
University teachers said Aptrim’s mother’s iPhone, which he had with him, was also missing. They initially suspect he may have been killed to take the phone.
